ACCESS
while both of the museum’s buildings (16 Herakleidon St & 37 Ap. Pavlou St) are located on pedestrian streets with no parking, you may visit us by using the metro, by foot or by car.
Metro line 1
From the "Thissio" stop, after getting to street level, turn right and follow the pedestrian street Apostolou Pavlou (walk up towards the Acropolis). At “Londos” Restaurant-Cafe turn right onto Herakleidon Str. Keep to your right and follow the pedestrian street. The Museum Herakleidon is number 16, just past the cafes on your right. 37 Ap. Pavlou Str building is situated just before «Alpha Bank» on your left hand side.
By Car from Peiraios St. (From Omonia)
From Peiraios Str. going towards to Gazi. When you pass Gazi, on your right hand side you will see a sign to turn left for Agia Marina-Asteroskopeio (Observatory). After taking this left turn you will be on Herakleidon Str. Follow the road under the bridge and continue straight for about 50 meters on Trion Ierarhon Str. where you will turn left on Nileos Str. Once on Nileos Str., park wherever possible. Walk up Nileos St. in the direction of the Acropolis, and turn left on Amphiktionos Str. Turn right onto Herakleidon Str., the museum is number 16, it will be on your left. 37 Ap. Pavlou Str building is situated just before Alpha Bank on your left hand side.
From the Acropolis by foot
After leaving the Acropolis, follow the pedestrian street Apostolou Pavlou down towards Thissio. 37 Ap. Pavlou Str building is situated just before «Alpha Bank» on your left hand side. Turn left onto Herakleidon Str when you reach the “Londos” Cafe-Restaurant, keep to your right and follow the pedestrian street. The museum's building is number 16, just past the cafes on your right.
By Car from Peiraios Str. (From Piraeus)
From Peiraios Str. going towards Omonia Sq., before your reach Gazi you will see on your right hand side a sign for Thissio-Petralona. After taking this right turn you will be on Herakleidon Str. Follow the road under the bridge and continue straight for about 50 meters on Trion Ierarhon Str. where you will turn left on Nileos Str. Once on Nileos Str., park wherever possible.
